JR Storytellers Visit

Coming Soon!

Canadian Author Jason D'Rocha visits
Highland Creek Public School on
Friday April 5th!

Children's book author and storyteller Jason D'Rocha will be visiting Highland Creek Public School to read his books, “My Mom, My Superhero” and “Nothing but Yet!” to students and staff. Jason will be visiting each class to read his books, engage the children and create some teachable moments. To top it off, each child will have a chance to spin a basketball on their finger with a little help from Jason!

My Mom, My Superhero
"My Mom, My Superhero" is a book about gratitude and love, and is a tribute to supermoms all over the world! This heartwarming story helps children to recognize and appreciate the everyday “superheroes” in their lives.

Nothing But Yet!
“Nothing but Yet” is a story about the importance of believing you can get better and the power of putting in the effort. A wonderful resource for teachers and parents to share with children as they begin to develop their Growth Mindset.

Jason D'Rocha
Jason lives in Toronto, with his wife Karly and their daughters Imari and Elise. In addition to writing and storytelling, Jason has a strong passion for sports and recreation, especially basketball! For almost 20 years, Jason has worked as a coach, storyteller, and leader in childhood development and active play.
